The Queen's Platinum

Jubilee Gala

About the Gala

This is an exciting year for Canadian and Commonwealth citizens.  Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating her Platinum Jubilee as Sovereign of Canada and Head of the Commonwealth,  having succeeded the Throne on February 6, 1952. For 70 years, as Queen of Canada and Head of the Commonwealth, the Queen has served us faithfully. It is time for a celebration!

All over the Commonwealth, citizens will be celebrating this milestone achievement in many different and unique ways.

To mark this milestone, The Royal Commonwealth Society of Toronto is hosting The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Gala in the splendour of The Imperial Room at Toronto’s Fairmount Royal York Hotel. This Black-tie evening will be a memorable event, not to be missed!

Cocktail reception starts at 6:00pm EST.

The evening will be punctuated with a sparkling Loyal Toast, military participation and highlighted with performances of dance, song and music representing the Commonwealth. And, of course, there will be tributes to Queen Elizabeth and her 70 year reign as we explore her Favourite Things and her unforgettable service.
